Lift of the Year 2024: Manawa Bay Shopping Centre
Smith Cranes Wins 2024 Lift of the Year Award for the Manawa Bay Shopping Centre.
With strict Civil Aviation height restrictions of 42m, the team had to think creatively. Using our Liebherr LR1280 280T Crawler Crane, we reconfigured the boom after every lift to ensure 3T air conditioning units were installed at a 95m radius—all while adhering to the strict height limits. This was a true display of precision, innovation, and teamwork.
